Study Break
Yes, I realize that it's been, like, decades since I last posted. (Or, two weeks.) I've been busy trying to graduate law school. So sue me.
Amidst all of my "studying" (binge-drinking), I've had time for exactly two extra-curricular thoughts. Here they are.
Something That Annoys Me:
Why is it that everyone who moves to Tennessee from "The North" feels it necessary to constantly inform us of how ABSURDLY we react when it snows two inches? "It's like the whole city shuts down for flurries! Up North, we'd get two feet of snow and still go to school!" Okay okay, we get it. It snows a lot up there. And I'm sure that St. Paul, Minnesota does have a few more snow plows than Knoxville. But part of the fun of living in the mid-South is that we do occasionally get a little snow, which we are not at all prepared for...and we actually get to stay home from school for no real reason! What's wrong with that? (And yes, I realize that May is not really the time to be writing about snow...but this rant stems from a conversation overheard at a "bar" the other night.)
Something That Amuses Me:
Despite the fact that Missy the Cat is technically mine, Ron has been kind enough to put himself on Litter Box Duty for as long as I can remember. Recently, he informed me that, for the past few weeks, Missy has been stubbornly refusing to pee inside the litter box and instead has been peeing on the walls and floor around the litter box. I love it. It's as if Missy is saying, "Fuck you, Ron. And your little dog, too."
